Audubon Cruise to Lower Cape Fear Bird Islands
Sunday I went on a 5 hour cruise to the bird nesting islands on the lower Cape Fear. I took over 300 pictures! It was a perfect day. Saw nesting pelicans, herons of all kinds, egrets, white and glossy ibises, lots of different gulls and terns (including royal terns). A bald eagle even put in a brief appearance overhead. Enjoy!

The Audubon cruise must have been a thrilling experience, allowing not only fabulous photo ops, but studying bird behavior. Great shots depicting it!
