Up early for a walk on the beach and wanted to share the highlights. I have always loved collecting shells but then never know what to do with them once I bring them home. So my new way of "collecting" shells is to take pictures of them. Found another starfish on my walk. I think it/she/he was still alive so I put the starfish closer to the surf line and am hoping for survival. The little sanderling looked so cute hiding from the wind inside someone's footprint
October 1st is the start of being allowed to "bring your dog to the beach" season and I thought these two beauties were as out of place on a beach as anything I could imagine. I was looking more for the classic Labrador chasing sticks in the surf...but they seemed contented.
The lone fisherman is at Crystal Pier by The Oceanic Restaurant (a place
I guarantee I will take anyone who visits me so that we can enjoy a d
rink at the bar looking out over the ocean).
Enjoy my shell collection!
Wow, Kathy, you really found some great treasures! I, too, love to collect shells from the beach and I always get as far as rinsing them off, polishing them with a coating of clear nail polish (keeps the vibrant colors of the 'wet look') but then they just end up in a bowl or something.... I had the 'brilliant' idea to photograph some of my beach finds, too, this summer, but nothing quite like the gems you found. Your other shots captured the rest of your beachwalk nicely. I felt like I was walking alongside you! And I will most definitely take you up on that drink overlooking the ocean one day!!
