My Addiction

I went to Wakodahatchee Wetlands and Green Cay Nature Center and took 277 pictures which I've narrowed down to these 31!  I love these places.

Back in FL for a few days

After saying goodbye to John (who is in Oxford, England for 6 weeks at the World Nuclear University Summer Institute) I headed back to Suni Sands in Jupiter, FL to spend some more time with Ray and Yolande and to pack up my belongings. Hard to believe our year rental is over. We have fallen in love with the place and people in our community and are working to find a way to come back each summer. Meanwhile my house inspection in Wilmington, NC went well and it looks I'll be closing on my new home August 15. Here is a sampling of pictures I've taken in the 3 days I've been in FL...

grasshopper on front steps

baby turtle tracks....we walk the beach EARLY each morning hoping to find some baby loggerheads or leatherbacks who have just hatched and are headed for open ocean

there are literally HUNDREDS of turtle nests on the beach here and we find evidence of new nests during our walks each morning

when Ray, Yolande, and I aren't turtle watching we are walking their dogs (Mo and Simon)
which includes throwing the ball for Mo

this is Simon

this is Mo

found this ballyhoo on the beach, love the colors

and the incredible shadow

here is a rainbow pointing to a pot of gold... our home in Suni Sands

every morning starts with sunrise on the beach

A few days before I arrived in FL Ray and Yolande were witness to this amazing manatee spectacle!

House Hunting

Just looked at a house that I really liked. John and Jess came back and looked at it with me and I took pictures. I am excited about finding the right house to buy. I am making an offer on this one but don't know what will happen.  Here is the online description and the pictures I took.

This is centrally located Single-Family Home in a desirable private community of Inland Greens just off Eastwood Road located at 6059 Cedar Ridge Drive, Wilmington NC. It has 3 bedrooms and 2 baths. There is a 2 car garage leading into a laundry room, electric fireplace, and a open floor plan with a bright cheery kitchen. There is a large room that is currently being used as an office. There is a 15kw whole house generator fueled by propane, electric awnings throughout the house, skylights and all wood floors. Outdoors there are 2 brick patios, a fenced in yard and views of City Park out the back. The yard is beautifully landscaped with… an in ground sprinkler system throughout the yard and flower beds. A short walk will take you to the community facilities where you can swim in the large salt water filtered pool, play tennis, or entertain in the clubhouse. We also have a boat and RV storage corral. Inland Greens/Cedar Ridge is the Best location in Wilmington if you like Wrightsville Beach.
