The next few pictures are of a juvenile Cooper's Hawk that was sitting on my fence.
He was probably waiting to eat the birds attracted to my feeders!

It seems the leaves do change color in NC.

Bluebirds, Father's Day, Airlie Gardens

Bluebirds

One of the baby bluebirds from the bluebird house I put up is almost ready to be on its own.

And it looks like the mother bluebird is already sitting on a new nest.

Father's Day

My  dad and my brother came for a weekend visit over Father's Day. We kept busy going on a Cape Fear River tour, swimming in 80+ degree ocean water, lunch at The Oceanic, a visit with John and Max, and lots of time in the yard watching the birds!

Humming Bird Nest
Saw a hummingbird sitting in a nest at Airlie Gardens.... a first for me!!!!!

Airlie Gardens

I continue to drive the tram at Airlie Gardens once a week. I am always seeing something new (or something old in a new way)!  Here are some samples.
